I stumbled on this band when watching the trailer for southland tales (heard the movie sucked btw) but here is an awesome live performance of one day like this

Last night Stone Cold Steven Austin tweeted that WWE should sign Samoa Joe and i retweeted that shit so fast. For the people who dont know how awesome he is just check out his debut match in TNA.

Now one of the only things TNA did right was booking Samoa Joe’s undefeated streak but now hes stuck in stupid feuds and storylines. I hope Joe jumps ships to WWE eventually. I have little faith in WWE creating new stars so I am gonna write my own idea for booking his debut.

So my big angle/feud would involve two new wrestlers Eddie Kingston (who i talked about before) and Samoa Joe. I would put them each on a separate brand and debut them right after Wrestlemania. I’ll put Samoa Joe on Raw and Eddie Kingston on Smackdown. Eddie Kingston would be a face and Samoa Joe would be a heel. Kingston would debut as the lone wolf hero/warrior of the people. Samoa Joe would be a badass take no shit heel. Basically he will come in and destroy people heel or face doesn’t matter. Now if done correctly Samoa Joe will end up becoming a face just by sure badass persona.

A major part of the feud would be that the two of them will never interact with each other until royal rumble. Also the second most important part is for the two should never lose a a 1v1 match at all. They can lose multi man matches as long as they are not pinned or submitted. So on raw you have Joe choking people and shit and Kingston will be backdrop driving people and backfisting all opponents.  After running through some small fries they will go on to eventually winning their own mid card titles (united states and intercontinental). The Feuds would be easy enough, Eddie would fight people who think they are better than him. Samoa Joe would just have faces/heels trying to be the first to pin him.

So for the most of the year we are building up Kingston and Joe to be the two most badass wrestlers on either brand. Before the royal rumble match we see Teddy Long talking and saying how Kingston is undefeated and cant be defeated. Out comes Joe and he walks by and laughs. Eddie goes why are you laughing and Joe replies you arent the only one who cant beat beat. Then they both shake hands and just nod. During the royal rumble eddie kingston comes out and everyone left in the ring just stares at him and gets ready for a fight. He gets in and starts backfisting everyone and owning for a long time looking dominate. Then the next number in comes and its Joe (While everyone is yelling joes gonna kill you) joe gets into the ring and immediately gets backfisted by eddie but gets up and no sells it. Right after Eddie eats joes finisher but gets up and no sells it. They both look at each other and then go and beat the shit out of each other with punches and kicks. while they are distracted everyone in the ring gangs up and throw them out. As they are both eliminated they continue to brawl all the way up and it takes a ton of referees to break it up.

On the next raw after elimination chamber (where Joe and Kingston defend their title successfully) Joe cuts a promo about how he is the baddest motherfucker in wwe but there is one person he couldn’t choke out yet. Out comes Kingston and goes out and said you cant choke me because im going to knock you out. then they get real close and joe hits first and they go out it again and it takes a long ass time to break them up. The gm goes cut it out, we are going to see whos better kingston or joe and then both Joe and Kingston both smile and walk away. On the last raw they have a pick your poison match and once again joe and kingston dont lose. Before Wrestlemania wwe is interviewing both rosters and asks them who will win thus making it a big match feel.

At wrestlemania you have a big match between. A huge brawl with lots of crazy spots. I would have a point where the match breaks down and they see who can hit harder. joe punches kingston. Kingston smiles and punches Joe back and forth back and forth. Joe will eventually get the tap out victory by choking Kingston out. So the next raw Joe is gloating and Kingston calls bullshit and they decide to have another match. At the next ppv another big great brawl and after kingston and joe trade finisher, kingston finally puts away joe with a backfist.

On the raw before joe is about to have a intercontinental title defense. Joe is about ot win when Kingston comes out and distracts the match thus causing Joe to lose. Then on Smackdown Kingston about to win his title defense but Joe causes him to lose. Then countiune to run into each others match and brawl all the time. On the next raw both Teddy and the Gm of raw decided to have a meeting and you two need too settle this in an actual match because you are disrupting the shows with all your fighting. But not just any match a three stages of hell match. First fall is by pin fall. Second by submission and 3rd fall if needed is a no dq falls count anywhere match. Then the Gms go whoever wins becomes the new number one contender. Then they both agree to the match.

The ppv match will be hopefully their best match yet. They pull all the stops and the crowd is eating this match up. first pinfall goes to joe who uses a new high impact move to get the first 3 count. so Joe is very confident that kingston cant make joe tap. However Kingston debuts a new awesome submission causing joe to tap. For the last fall they brawl all over the stadium. Joe hits kingston with the backfist and Kingston hits Joe with the muscle buster to no avail. The end sequence will be the both trade punches, kicks and slaps. Joe knocks over Kingston and Joe jumps over and hits Kingston. Finally hitting the muscle buster and locks in the choke on the ramp. Kingston bleeding finally taps and thats the end of the feud. Joe gets his title shot while Kingston looks like a major player for having such an amazing set of matches. Both wrestlers become instant stars and look like legitimate badass for having a series of matches and an almost one year undefeated streaks each.

The Naked and Famous

The Naked and Famous the only other band besides Flight of the Conchords from New Zealand. Their debut cd passive me and aggressive you came out in September 2010. This band was definitely one of my favorite bands of 2010. Their song Young Blood turns out to be the most played song on my itunes list. You probably heard that song before since I ended up hearing it on Chuck and commercials. Granted at first the song sounds like Passion Pit with a girl. However the rest of the cd sounds nothing like Passion Pit. I highly recommend you give this band a listen (the youtube videos are a good start).

Honorable Mention

Eddie Kingston also known as the last of a dying breed and the war king. Great promo ability (as you can see below) and decent wrestling ability. More known for is stiff strikes and suplexs. He could easily fit into a brawler type for wwe. Plus his finisher is called back fist to the future.

He could either be heel or face. As a heel he just be a brutal monster type heel. However, I would book him as a face. He will be the lone wolf or warrior of the people type. Maybe fights for the people kind of wrestler only more intense fighter and not like cena corny peoples champ. I would put him into a feud with Cody Rhodes then onto Del Rio. Against Rhodes he can “fight for the everyman” while Rhodes keeps calling him pathetic and ugly like everyone else. Then onto Del Rio who keeps claiming he is royalty and Kingston isn’t and blah blah promo vs promo. Basically you can book a match where Del Rio tries to break  his arm so he cant use his back fist.

The only major problem he has is that he doesn’t have the look of the wrestlers wwe want. He has a bit of a gut and Vince wouldn’t really want to hire him on the roster. Also he is currently the hero of chikara pro. I doubt that he would want to leave to wwe and risk being a midcard jobber or even lower.

Sign Claudio Castagnoli

Claudio Castagnoli also known as the very European Claudio Castagnoli. He was signed to wwe developmental but was let go due to “visa” issues but he claims that wasn’t the issue. Currently he is one half of the Kings of Wrestling and PWG champion. Also very prominent wrestler in chikara, ring of honor and PWG. He is very charismatic and a great wrestler.

Hes got the promo skill and size that Vince likes in wwe. At 6’5 he is not super tall compared to the rest of the wwe roster but a lot taller than most of the indie wrestlers out there. Also while he is promo skills are pretty good for a foreigner/indie wrestler. 

I imagine that Claudio will be booked as a heel because every foreigner is a heel in the wwe. Either an anti american heel or im leaning more towards an egotistical cocky heel. He can just act so full of himself and the crowd will hate him for it.

Also he has a very unique and european wreslting styler (AKA a lot of european uppercuts. check out these videos of his signature moves.

Also can you imagine him doing this to rey?

Recently Claudio and Chris Hero have had a tryout match with wwe and I really hope they sign him

Immortal Iron Fist series by Ed Brubaker and Matt Fraction

This series is one my favorite reads. Before I read this I had no clue who the Iron Fist was before, having only read about him in New Avengers. Some spoilers below.

Brubaker and Fraction managed to create a legacy of previous Iron Fist before Danny

Plus I think this is a badass splash page. After more craziness from Danny fighting hydra and Davos leads to this awesome moment when Orson (the iron fist before him) starts wrecking shit.

One of the things i love the most is the name of all the attacks, I mean come on palm of forty sorrows sounds and looks cool. The writers managed to expand the mythology of Iron Fist tremendously. They managed to create seven cities of heaven with their on immortal weapons.

Fat Cobra is my personal favorite Immortal Weapon besides the Iron fist. However I thought this scene from Davos vs Tiger’s Beautiful Daughter was brutal.

Reading the series Davos seemed like a complete ass and but like most villains his redemption side story was pretty interesting. Once again below is another awesome splash page of everyone beating the shit out of hydra.

Well here are just some cool scenes from the series. These pages come from the first two arcs of the series. Roughly issues 1-14. I highly recommend this series to anyone who wants great kung fu action fun.
